Canal Street is perhaps the most trafficked part of the New Orleans French Quarter. On any given weekend, it serves as a hub for shopping, business, and transportation. It’s no wonder that Flaw-Luxe is one of the most popular barbershops. The owner and head stylist, Allen “Tater” Pazon explains, “It’s the combination of the location and the talent.” Walking by on any given weekend, from the outside it looks more like a club than a barbershop.
Open three and a half years, the space features 5 barbers and 4 stylists. Men and women mix and mingle in the same space–usually dressed to impress. The exposed brick walls at the location feature high fashion photography, including one photo of the owner posed as Edward Scissorhands. They specialize in contemporary haircuts and offer a wide range of services, including: braids, locs, and sew-ins for their multicultural clientele.
